Jase's 5th birthday!!

Peace!

Pancakes with chocolate chips and whipped cream - his favorite!

For his birthday, he requested a trip to the library!

We also stopped by Target to pick up the gift Grandma and Papa told us was waiting for him.

Our little musician!

For dinner, he requested family style shrimp and salmon sushi - just like Ayaka made.

Milk and sushi

Cheers to Jase!

Opening presents

Jase is really into Monster Trucks right now

Big Boy LEGOS!

Oh - and since this was the first day home after vacation, we had to take a picture with all the packages we received for our Patriotic Project!  We were so completely overwhelmed and thrilled!

Technically, Mommy's birthday but Jase is much cuter.

After spending the whole day cleaning, we did manage to escape that evening to attend a Concordia College reception at Citrus downtown.  It was fun to be with other Cobber alumni on my birthday and celebrate with some "hometown folk."  The classes of '95, '96, and '97 were all represented.  Plus it was our first opportunity to meet Concordia's new President.
