Since we are about to leave for our August vacation up north, we invited Aunt Nicole and Uncle Tim over for dinner to celebrate Jase's birthday.

Nicole's birthday is also in August while we will be gone.

Jase got to pick the dessert.  He's not a cake or pie kind of guy.  He requested brownies and I made chocolate chip cookies too.

A backpack!  Now Jase is all ready for preschool.

Jase's lunchbox fits on the backpack.  He's had the lunchbox for well over a year.  I've had the backpack in the closet for the same length of time.  They came as a set.
