Saturday ended up feeling more like Independence Day than Sunday did.
It was a fun-filled day of holiday festivities!
The cousins all dressed up for the day

Stopping to "smell the roses"

We went to the Newnan Farmer's Market and saw lots of fun vendors. This is a MN
birdhouse that I really wanted to buy for my parents. The kids had fun
naming all the states on each birdhouse. The vendor was amazed that they
could correctly identify the states just by the shape. He immediately
asked us, "Do you guys homeschool?" We just laughed and said, "Yes."
Evidently, most kids that stopped by could only identify their own state by
shape...

This soap vendor had the neatest promotion - if a child could say the
pledge of allegiance, name 5 presidents, or sing the Star Spangled Banner, they
could win a bar of soap. My kids did all three including singing their
presidents song. After they got done clapping and cheering, the kind
proprietors asked, "Do you homeschool?" I smiled and said, "Yes."
She was a former homeschool Mom as well.

"Let Them Eat Toffee!" The owners are so nice and of course,
the product is tasty too!
